Monitoring and Evaluation of Online Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic
Based on SE Chancellor No. B / 15254 / UN38 / TU.00.02 / 2020, since the 7th meeting lectures at the State University of Surabaya have been carried out online (online learning). In an effort to continue to carry out quality assurance during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Chairperson and Secretary of the Center for the Assessment and Development of the Academic Quality System (PPSMA), Dr. Widowati Budijastuti, M.Si. and Dr. Yoyok Yermiandhoko, M.Pd., compiled Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Online Learning Monitoring and Evaluation Instruments. Before being disseminated to the Quality Assurance Group (GPM) around Unesa, SOPs and instruments were first validated internally by the Unesa Quality Assurance Team (BPM). to regulate technical implementation in accordance with SOP provisions. The online learning monitoring and evaluation was carried out starting from the 9th meeting covering the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of online learning. The number of lecturers being monitored is 2-3 people, adjusted to the number of lecturers in the study program concerned. Meanwhile, to ensure the implementation of online learning monev, the Unesa Quality Assurance Team (BPM) provides assistance and monitoring to each faculty. On Tuesday, April 28, 2020 starting at 09.00 WIB, an online meeting was held to evaluate the implementation of online learning monev. The activity which lasted for two hours using the zoom platform, was attended by 24 people, involving the BPM team, the chairman of the GPM, and the monev division of GPM around Unesa. Head of Quality Assurance (BPM), Prof. Dr. Mega Teguh Budiarto, M.Pd, in his remarks gave direction regarding the importance of M&E learning even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Acting as moderator, the Head of the Internal Quality Audit Center, Dr. Djoko Suwito, M.Pd., gave each GPM the opportunity to explain the implementation of online learning monev. GPM exposure includes the socialization of instruments, scheduling, and implementation of monev. Some GPMs make innovations for the success of monev, for example FMIPA uses the term lecturer model, so that monev does not appear to only look for mistakes but also see good practices that can be referred to by other lecturers. GPM Faculty of Economics, apart from involving GPM and UPM, also involved department leaders as monitoring and evaluation. As for the GPM of the Faculty of Education, it only involves monitoring and evaluation who have attended auditor training. In addition, to obtain more comprehensive information, BPM also conducts surveys of lecturers who are monitored using a questionnaire. The survey results presented by the Secretary of Internal Quality Audit, Ayunita Leliana, S.S., M.Pd. includes online sarpras services, study program services, faculty services, monitoring services, the positive and negative sides of monitoring and evaluation activities. At the end of the meeting, the Secretary of BPM, Dr. Wiwik Sri Utami, M.P., said that the report needs to be completed this week. Based on this report, it is necessary to formulate a follow-up plan as a recommendation to the leadership, both the Head of the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LP3M) and the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The hope is that the leadership can follow up before the even semester lecture ends. (Bambang)
